Fake Invoice Scams

We are experiencing a large uptick in fake invoice scams on rof.net. A fake invoice scam email includes an attachment that appears to be an invoice. The invoice is usually from a commonly used service or company and is accompanied by an email address or phone number. The scammers want you to communicate with them so they can trick you into giving them personal information such as passwords and credit card info. If you call the phone number, they may try to convince you to give them remote control of your computer. The best thing that you can do if you receive an unfamiliar invoice via email is to double-check your credit card statements to make sure that there are no unfamiliar charges. If you do not see any, it is safe to assume that the email is SPAM. Please mark it as SPAM and/or delete it.
